When the Stars Just Align...
I am calling this blog "When the Stars Just Align" because that's exactly what happened on this family shoot.
First, a little background... I happen to know and love this family. We go way back. They are beautiful and kind and generous, and I'm lucky to have them in my life. So, when Leigh reached out for a photo session, I was beyond excited! It had been awhile since I took photos of all 3 of them, and I had the perfect spot in mind for their fall photos. The weather was GORGEOUS, the timing of the shoot was set for exactly an hour before sunset*, their outfits were a beautiful blend of neutrals and coordinated colors / patterns, they of course looked amazing as always, and they had the right photo-taking attitudes.** And so, it was meant to be... wonderful images for an incredible family! And that makes my heart sing!
*Why is the timing of a session so important in photography? Because the #1 most important thing in getting great images is the lighting. You want that soft even light, and if ever possible, you want that back GLOW that you see in the image above. Gah, so dreamy!!
**Photo-taking attitudes? (Is that a thing? YES!) They were excited, a little anxious (totally normal, who doesn't get anxious in front of a camera?!), they placed their trust in me, and most important, they were positive and encouraging with each other!!
